Timing & Market Considerations
Colombian companies typically follow the calendar year as their fiscal year. Executives normally receive their service bonuses split into two payments, in June and December, so these are natural times for them to change jobs. If they’re already working, executives normally have to give 30 days’ notice of their resignations to their employers. You will also need extra time to bring expatriate executives in from abroad. It can take between 15 and 30 days on average to obtain work visas for Colombia.
