Timing & Market Considerations

In Azerbaijan, the fiscal year follows the calendar year, ending on 31 December. Executive bonuses are paid at the discretion of different employers, though there is a strong tendency to pay these in December to help wrap up the year’s finances. Therefore, most executives would be ready to change jobs at the end of the year.

Employees only need to give one month’s notice in Azerbaijan, and with work permits normally processed within just 20 working days, most executives from abroad can also start new positions quickly.
