As a certified HR professional, I have onboarded multiple employees with Teamed EOR over the years. Teamed offers many great services and can help employers hire internationally, but it also has some flaws in its offerings.
Here, based on my first-hand experience onboarding employees with Teamed and other EOR providers, I give my take on Teamed‘s offerings in 2026.
Teamed Company Overview
Teamed, also known as Teamed Global, is an HR services provider that offers solutions for companies with international teams. While this company was incorporated in 2018, it didn’t start actively working until 2020. This was the time when the global pandemic was turning remote and hybrid jobs into “the new normal,” and Teamed was perfectly positioned to start offering solutions to help businesses adjust. Headquartered in London, Teamed has since expanded its services to include over 150 countries worldwide.
These services include EOR or Employer of Record services to hire full-time employees (FTEs), contractor management, and global payroll solutions. They let clients outsource these time-consuming and difficult functions to teams of experts who have the know-how to provide them even for highly distributed teams spread out across multiple countries. While many competitors keep their prices hidden, Teamed is very open with its prices and posts them publicly while promising absolute transparency and no hidden fees.
In this review, we’ll take a deep look into the range of services that Teamed offers to help you decide if this provider is the best choice for your organization to partner with.
Teamed Key Features
As a relatively new provider in the HR services space, Teamed has already shown a lot of initiative and extensive growth in the space of four short years. The main features of its service provision include:
Employer of Record (EOR)
It’s in the name – one of Teamed Global’s main services is helping businesses hire employees in countries all over the world. It does this by becoming an employer of record for these employees. If a client wishes to hire a developer in France or a marketing team in India, Teamed uses its network of owned entities and partners to hire these employees directly. It produces locally compliant contracts and enters into them with the employees, thus becoming the legal employer of the local staff. Teamed contracts require the employees to work exclusively for the client, who becomes their worksite employer.
This relationship allows companies to legally hire employees in over 150 countries worldwide, even though they don’t own entities in those locations. As the worksite employer, the client manages the workers’ schedules and tasks as they do for all FTEs. However, the HR needs of the employees are provided in full by Teamed.
This includes contract preparation, hiring, onboarding, paid time off (PTO), payroll, taxes, and benefits administration. Teamed also manages termination, offboarding, and severance if and when required. This service takes the burden off the company’s HR staff, who might otherwise be overwhelmed by the challenge of managing employment in multiple countries.
The other main benefit of this EOR service is that Teamed ensures compliance with all relevant tax and labor laws in the countries where it employs workers. Local experts follow legislation changes to ensure that contract terms and working conditions are always updated in line with the law. Teamed also manages payroll to ensure it’s performed on time and that all tax withholdings and deductions are conducted and filed correctly. As the legal employer, Teamed files reports and taxes for the hiring entity so the client doesn’t have to. In these ways, Teamed takes full responsibility as an employer and protects the client from any penalties arising from non-compliance.
Teamed has targeted the lower-cost end of the market with a very affordable price for EOR services. Its service starts at just £299/employee per month (roughly 380 USD), though this will not be the same for every country. This low price makes it highly competitive in the EOR marketplace, though we still need to look at many other features to assess how much value clients actually receive.
Teamed PEO
Teamed does not seem to offer PEO or Professional Employment Organization services. Similar to EOR services, a PEO handles all HR concerns for its clients’ employees, such as payroll, benefits, and PTO. However, it doesn’t hire the employees directly. Instead, a PEO will work wherever the client already owns entities in a single country or globally. Teamed is, however, well-positioned to provide this service and, therefore, may do so in the future.
Contractor Management
Not all companies need to hire FTEs to meet their needs. Often, independent contractors and freelancers can provide short-term work and provide the specialized skills and knowledge that small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) need to build value. The challenge, then, is to hire and pay these contractors compliantly when they’re spread out all over the world.
This is when Teamed becomes valuable as a service provider. As with its EOR solution, Teamed helps businesses hire contractors in over 150 countries and pay them in over 50 currencies. While it requires clients to pay with regular fiat currency, it also offers the opportunity for contractors to be paid in cryptocurrencies if they so choose. This service starts at £39/contractor per month (roughly 50 USD).
However, this is for basic contractor services that include onboarding, managing invoices, and making international payments. For £100/ month (roughly 130 USD), however, Teamed’s Guard package provides increased safeguards against employee misclassification and includes indemnity insurance of up to $20,000 to that effect. If clients choose the Protect package, they’ll pay £250/ month (320 USD) but receive full protection against misclassification issues. Teamed will hire the contractor on behalf of the client, thus keeping them completely safe from penalties and fines.
Recruitment
Recruitment is often seen as a very different function from managing employees, and most EOR providers avoid this service. Unfortunately, Teamed is one of them. It doesn’t employ any recruiters and assumes that its clients have already found the international employees and contractors they require before they engage its services.
Other competitors, however, typically offer some tools and features with their platforms that help clients perform recruitment on their own. These include things like an applicant tracking system (ATS), candidate communication channels, and direct links to popular job posting sites. Teamed’s platform doesn’t have any of these features which means clients are on their own when it comes to sourcing talent.
Payroll
When clients sign up for EOR services, they receive payroll support as an essential part of hiring their international workers. As soon as employees are onboarded to Teamed’s platform, they’re automatically entered into its payroll database. Based on their contracts, new team members’ salary calculations are set up to include their salaries, overtime rates, and bonuses. Also included in these calculations are their income tax rates and contributions to social security and other benefits programs that must be deducted from their paychecks.
For each pay period, the client will collect time and attendance data and pass this on to Teamed through an agreed format. Unfortunately, Teamed’s platform doesn’t include a time and attendance tracking feature that would allow this to be completed within the system. With this data in place, the system can get to work on its automatic calculations.
It figures out how much each employee has made in gross salary, calculates taxes to be withheld and deductions to be made, and arrives at net salary. Salaries are then paid out to employees in their local currencies, while taxes and social security contributions are made on behalf of the client. Employees receive payslips detailing their salary breakdowns, and the client can look through all payroll data and use it to generate reports.
Payroll needs to be funded by the client but they have up to 50 choices of currencies to pay in. Legally, employees normally must be paid in their local currencies. Teamed keeps all payroll data to produce a clean audit trail for each client and to maintain compliance in each of the over 150 countries where it works.
Even if a client doesn’t require EOR services, Teamed can still run a global payroll for the employees it has working for entities in different countries. This global payroll service can be very convenient for companies that have highly distributed teams. Teamed has chosen not to reveal the price for this service; however, it asks potential clients to request tailored quotes for their specific payroll situations instead.
HR and Compliance
We’ve already touched on the ways that Teamed helps clients employ contractors and FTEs in full compliance with local laws around the world. This provider puts a strong focus here and claims to provide 100% compliance for its customers so they’re never in danger of fines or other punishments due to non-compliance. However, we haven’t yet talked about the additional HR services that this EOR company provides.
First, each new client is assigned a dedicated account manager who is there to assist them at almost all times. These account managers can help with all questions and concerns regarding hiring, payroll, PTO, and more. Live support is also available 24/5 through live chat.
In addition to the account manager, the client has access to an onboarding expert who can work with new hires to get their necessary documents signed and uploaded quickly. Teamed boasts a 24-hour onboarding process, though user reviews suggest that this is not always possible. Users also suggest that the Teamed platform could benefit from better organization of the many documents required for onboarding.
Finally, Teamed manages benefits administration for its clients. This includes mandatory benefits like PTO and social security contributions from employees and employers. However, it will also manage optional benefits like stock options, private insurance, and pensions for clients who wish to provide them for their employees.
Platform
Teamed spent a couple of years building its platform so that it was fully ready to come online in 2020. This cloud-based online platform is the central focus of its service delivery. New employees and contractors are onboarded to this system so their HR concerns can be effectively managed.
The platform automatically runs payroll calculations, tracks time off and other benefits, and helps clients make international payments to their contractors. According to Teamed’s privacy policy, its platform complies with the European Union’s GDRP (general data protection regulation) to protect your privacy and keep your data secure.
Teamed’s platform is simple compared to many competitors because it has limited features. Without time-tracking and attendance, employee experience, performance evaluations, and several other features, this platform can’t be used to replace a comprehensive HRMS (human resources management system).
It also doesn’t include the many useful pre-built integrations with other software applications that many competitors do. Finally, it doesn’t yet have a mobile app that would allow admins to manage their accounts and employees to easily access their payslips and benefits allowance.
Resources
To attract more clients and provide extra value to the ones it already has, Teamed includes a lot of free resources on its website. These resources and tools help companies gain insights into HR, payroll, and international hiring which is very helpful if they don’t have much experience in this regard. They include a blog, guides and insights, and webinars as well as tools for cost estimations and contractor classification.

Teamed Pros and Cons
Teamed has a unique set of features, and the way it provides its services gives its clients the following advantages and disadvantages:
- Pros
Fees Posted Online
Teamed puts many of its prices, or at least starting prices, online for all to see. This makes it easy to compare this provider to the competition.
Low Eor Price
Starting at just £299/employee per month (about 380 USD), Teamed’s EOR price is very competitive.
Global Payroll
Lots of the competition doesn’t take the opportunity to offer global payroll services but Teamed is happy to provide payroll services in over 150 countries. This is a very useful service for clients that own entities in many locations that can help them stay compliant everywhere.
- Cons

Teamed’s platform is generally seen as easy to use and quick to implement by its various users. At the same time, it doesn’t have the whole range of features it would need to be used as a standalone HRMS.
No Recruitment
Teamed doesn’t have any recruiters on staff to source talent for its clients. Its platform also doesn’t provide any helpful tools to help clients perform their own recruitment effectively.
Limited Integrations
There are no helpful out-of-the-box integrations available to help clients share data between Teamed and other applications like their time-tracking, accounting, and HR management software.
No Mobile App
Teamed has yet to develop a mobile app for iOS and Android devices to help employees and administrators use the platform more effectively while on the go.
Unique Selling Point
Teamed’s unique selling point is its focus on compliance. It manages employees according to local laws around the world and gives options for contractor management that protect clients from any and all liability for misclassification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Teamed has three levels of contractor management service that increase in levels of client protection from misclassification liability. These packages cost £39, £100, and £250/contractor per month (roughly 50, 130, and 320 USD).
Unfortunately, no. Teamed assumes that clients can find their own international employees and contractors and doesn’t provide direct recruitment or recruiting-related tools with its platform.
